The Genesis
Tanzania community projects and services support (Compass-Tanzania) is a well-established community-originated non-governmental organization that intends (with the full participation of the community) to design and implement effective developmental projects that assist vulnerable communities in Tanzania to improve their lives. This NGO was formulated to curb excessive economic setbacks in rural areas in Tanzania, and human rights infringement against women and children caused by male dominant cultures in some societies in Tanzania. This has in turn kept women and children in poverty, forcing them into miserable lives with no place to run to due to ignorance. Compass Tanzania was designed to become their sanctuary.
More specifically, Compass Tanzania intends to successfully design and implement community-generated projects by deploying multiple participatory approaches to ensure that community projects that demonstrate big results are achieved. In a nutshell, Compass-Tanzania endeavors to improve the flexibility of people and societies for long-term development.
